Greetings: BE IT KNOWN that in pursuance of pending acts of legislation, soon to be enacted, and by these presents do extend a warm welcome to veteran re-enactors and interpretive historians who currently portray, or have now recently expressed an interest in portraying, personas relating to the War of 1812. This welcome is warmly extended - whether you are Royal Military and Naval forces of the King of England, or forces of the American National Army, Navy, and State Militia. Welcome! BE IT KNOWN that a National War of 1812 Bicentennial Commission, with the intended goal of producing a meaningful and memorable celebration of this crucial time period in our young nation's history, is forthcoming from the Congress of the United States. BE IT KNOWN that a Georgia State War of 1812 Bicentennial Commission will soon be formed. It's intended goal will be to produce a meaningful and memorable celebration of this crucial time period in our state's history, and to co-ordinate said celebration efforts with those of the National Bicentennial Commission. BE IT KNOWN that a Camden County (Georgia) War of 1812 Bicentennial Commission will soon be formed. It's intended goal will be to produce a meaningful and memorable celebration of this crucial time period in our state's history, and to co-ordinate the region's celebration efforts with those of the Georgia State Bicentennial Commission. BE IT FURTHER KNOWN we eagerly anticipate the presentation of history based programs at the State and Federal historical sites domiciled in the St. Marys, Georgia vicinity during the period leading up to the bicentennial period 2012 through 2015. We do intend to establish the St. Marys / Camden County area as a permanent domicile for the presentation of this fascinating time period beyond the bicentennial period 2012 through 2015. We, therefore, entreat your support by ascribing your name, or mark, next to one of the military or naval units listed below.
